Question: What are the requirements to become a Pettaway Pursuit Foundation Doula?
Answer: You must be certified or near certification by a qualified doula certifying agency.
Question: What if I am not certified?
Answer: While we prefer you to be working towards your certification, having a high level of hands-on experience with various families is always a plus and may allow you to be considered for employment.
Question: Will working for Pettaway Pursuit Foundation be a full-time job opportunity?
Answer: All PPF doulas are independent contractors and are paid at a competitive hourly rate. Our unique methodology allows you the flexibility to create your own schedule whether that be full-time or part-time.
Question: How would I obtain my clients?
Answer: PPF is not the traditional doula service model as we support our members throughout their entire pregnancy, up to 2 months postpartum. Pettaway Pursuit Foundation will provide as many members as you can serve efficiently.
Question: How do I get paid?
Answer: All independent contractors will submit a weekly invoice to Pettaway Pursuit Foundation for the services rendered. A check will then be provided to you at the gross amount for your services.
Question: How often do I get paid?
Answer: Biweekly, with proper invoice submission.
Question: Does Pettaway Pursuit Foundation provide benefits?
Answer: No. All independent contractors are responsible to provide their own benefits.
Question: Will I receive a W2 at the end of the year?
Answer: No. As an independent contractor you will receive a 1099 at the end of the year.
