Yeadon, PA September 30, 2016 – In collaboration with managed care agencies since 2007, the Pettaway Pursuit Foundation (PPF) has provided care for over 1,100 expectant and new mothers in select counties in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Their signature program, Doula By My Side, offers non-medical assistance before, during, and after child birth to pre-identified, high-risk members of Keystone First, Health Partners, and Tufts Health Plans. PPF’s doulas provide key informational and emotional support which ensures improved maternal and birth outcomes.
Participants will also learn about insurance reimbursements from a local insurance provider. This event will be a great professional development and networking opportunity for regional professionals. CEUs are available from DONA International for doulas and American College of Nurses/Midwives (ACNM) for nurses and midwives.
